Department of Chemistry |
AdmissionsDepartment of Chemistry at Tallinn University of Technology admits students to the curriculum of Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology. Studies are possible on bachelors, masters and doctoral level.Normally, one would study three years to obtain the bachelor of science degree, followed by two-year masters' curriculum. This is considered the normal track to graduation. If the student has to work at the time of studies, or has other responsibilities, the study time may be extended. Exceeding the time limits may also mean that one loses the state-financed seat at the university and may need to pay for some of the courses. At the doctoral level, the Faculty of Natural Sciences offers a Chemistry and Gene Technology curriculum. It is possible to choose courses so that the studies shall focus almost entirely on chemistry. Before admission, the prospecive student is expected to make contact to a professor at the department who shall be the advisor for his/her thesis.
