The Department of Chemistry of Tallinn University of Technology is carrying out research and teaching in analytical, inorganic, bioorganic and organic chemistry, also in biotechnology and molecular technology.
The institute teaches courses at bachelors', masters' and doctoral levels in the areas listed above, as well as chemistry and materials technology to students of non-chemical specialties.
We welcome new students to join the curriculum of applied chemistry and biotechnology, which prepares the students for work in modern chemical laboratories, biotechnology enterprises and the chemical industry. The studies can be continued at the masters' level; doctoral studies follow the chemistry and gene technology curriculum.
The research at the department covers most disciplines of modern chemistry. The laboratory of chemical analysis is offering its services in determining the composition of compounds and mixtures.
